Lucy, featuring Scarlett Johannson is a movie that I am willing to admit, made me believe the age old myth that humans only use 10% of their brains. It wasn't until I did my own individual research years after watching the film to find out humans on average use 90-95% of brain functionality. That is a huge difference from 10% that I had originally thought. This myth tends to prove the point of how gullible people can be. I know personally after Lucy had come out and few of my friends had seen it, we all believed that we were only using 10% of our brains and tried to find ways to increase it which realistically probably took 100%.

Hey Adil, I have also seen the movie Lucy and it made me laugh that you also actually believed we could start moving things with our minds if we used more than 10% of our brains. It's crazy to think about how many people actually believe the myth when there hasn't been a single person in history to have telekinetic powers or anything like that.
ReplyDeleteHey Adil great post and funny as it already is the same thing happened to me! Lucy was actually one of my favorite movies and I fell into the whole trap myself. I actually even thought that utilizing 10% of your brain also had something to do with IQ level. For example Albert Einstein had a High IQ level so he must have used more than 10%. I agree with you, it really does show how gullible we all can be.
