Blog Post #3 The Salem Witch Trials

 I remember my first time ever hearing about the Salem Witch trials and the mass hysteria that came with it when I was a Sophomore in High School. In my English class we were assigned to read the crucible which was a play that took place in Salem, Massachusetts that gave insight on what times were like during this event. I find it interesting how far humanity has come from so long ago. With the advancements in science humanity has made its hard to imagine an event like this happening again. I also find it remarkable how willing every person involved in this was to accept that the girls were doing witchcraft and were punished so severely for it. It tells of how little humanity truly understood about the world compared to modern times.
