UFO Abductions and Projective testing
Aliens are one of the most common things that people think of when talking about things that aren't real, falling alongside Santa Clause and the Tooth Fairy. Obviously, green, tall figures floating around in a shiny spaceship from Mars can't be real, can they? When reading lecture 9, this is the typical image of aliens discussed. Even the man in the video who claims that he was abducted sounds ridiculous, and viewers probably just laugh at his story. However, I think that for people to say that there are no other forms of life outside of Earth is ludicrous. In my opinion, there is absolutely other life forms in the big realm of the universe. Our planet is a part of only one galaxy, and there are infinite other galaxies out there that our brains cannot even comprehend. While other living creatures in another galaxy may not look like the typical alien we think of such as in the picture below, there is no doubt they are out there still.

I see where you are coming from in terms of your opinion on whether or not aliens are truly real. Honestly, I do believe that there are other life forms out there other than us on Earth. However, I do not necessarily believe them to be aliens, at least the stereotypical image we think of when we hear "alien". I believe there are more human-like personas beyond Earth. Essentially, we cannot be the only human-life forms on only one of the planets. Perhaps there is something we aren't being told or something that is being covered up with the typical "alien-UFO-sighting". It is definitely something to keep up to date on and maybe look beyond the surface at all the possibilities.
ReplyDeleteI definitely agree that we cannot possibly be the only life forms in the universe and other universes. Space is so interesting to me. I wonder what they'll actually look like and if communication with them will be possible.
ReplyDeleteHi! Your post reminded me of the zoo hypothesis, the theory that aliens can see us but we cannot see them because they are intentionally hiding from us. I think this theory is very interesting because given our history and the status of our planet's climate situation, it's understandable why they would keep a distance!
ReplyDeleteI agree that there is definitely other life forms within our universe. The universe is way too large for humans to be the only anomaly. I believe there is also inteligent life forms out there, but they are most likely too far from Earth to where we will never make contact with them.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree that there has to be other forms of life. The lecture about UFO Abductions and Projective Testing caught my eye too! The first slide about recalling the past is something I was really interested in. Between past experiences, UFO Abductions and Past-Life Hypnotic Regression, this was one of my favorite lectures from the class.
