As talked about in lecture 4 PowerPoint Y2K was a historical event all over the world, especially in our country. It came to be when the numbers for the year on technology went down to only 2 digits and everybody was wondering what the computers were going to think when it hit the year 2000. This caused panic in the world where it was said the world was going to end and computers were going to shut down, and elevators and other electrical things were going to stop overall. 

Another prophecy that never came true was the end of the world in the year 2012. It was said by Mayans that in the year 2012 either December 12 or December 23, 2012 the world was going to end in a mass prophecy of catastrophic events and everyone was going to die. This was thought to be so true they even made a movie called 2012 based on what was heard and it was a stupid movie in my opinion. I personally do not believe the world is going to end any time soon no matter what is said.
