Projective tests are used for psychologists to determine different aspects of an individuals mind or personality using drawings, opinions, or stories. An example of a projective test is the Rorschach Inkblot Test. This test is a series of 10 different inkblots shown to a client and the client is then asked what they see. After watching the video, it is clear to me that projective tests are perfect examples of pseudoscience and all depend on what the psychologists wants to make of it. For example, the second inkblot shown in the video looked like two wolves kissing to me. However, the man said it was either an old man or two people. So, if I saw neither, what does that mean? Also, if a psychologist was to examine my answer, would they say I was just an animal lover, do I have relationship troubles, is my personality more wild? Basically, the psychologist can take their clients answer and make it fit wherever they like, especially if they already believe they know the clients problems (confirmation bias).
