The End of The World has been a long last myth. Everyone has
this idea that eventually the world will end! That comes from people believing
that that’s when the calendar had ended, global warming, or people telling them
believable “facts.” I used to believe that the world was going to end in 2012. But
I only had that in mind because I saw the movie 2012. It looked realistic and
believable. I expected earthquakes and the street to split. Everyone in school
at the time was saying that a meter was going to come down and explode the
earth. I believe that one day the world will end, but it will happen centuries
form now. I remember on the day of 12/12/12 there were two kinds of people. The
ones who were scared for their life and the ones who just did not care because
they knew there was no chance anything would happen. If I had the money like
Peter Larson, I also would also by a 65,000 dollars Dooms Day bunker. You can
never be too safe. If I had the money I would make a lot of bunkers for
tornadoes, tsunami, earthquakes.
This is a bunker that is not finished yet. The price of this bunker ranges around 550,000 http://time.com/money/4665985/doomsday-bunkers-survive-apocalypse-sale/
Brianna,
ReplyDeleteThis topic was also really interesting to me as well! I am shocked at how much money people are willing to spend on a bunker! In my opinion, if the end of the world is going to happen it is going to happen regardless of what I do bunker-wise. I would rather live my life to the fullest and enjoy every moment of every day instead of living in fear of the end of the world. However, the flip side is that the people who can afford these structures are actually able to live a happier life with no worry of the end of the world because they feel they will be safe in their bunker! With that being said, I can agree with you that if I were to have an excessive amount of money, I would be curious about buying one. Very good post Brianna!
I agree that if I was able to I would make my own bunker but I feel like that money is better used in other ways. I think the way some people think is a product of the mass hysteria and fear that is pushed out there by many sources. If you recall the 2012 End of the World phenomenon that Brianna mentioned everyone seemed to be freaking out in fear of the end of the world. I'm sure there was a rise in people buying food, water, and even medicines and other essential items to survive just like they did for the Y2K scare. I honestly would do anything I needed to to know I would survive and could keep my family and friends alive and well.
