The evil eye is a look that is superstitiously believed to be able to cause injury or bad luck which is directed toward a certain person. People also say that the reason why people would direct bad harm or injury on someone else is either because they dislike the person or just out of envy. The "Evil Eye" is also known as "Mal de ojo." Many different cultures and nationalities believe in the idea that if you wear or display the evil eye pendent that you can block all the negative energy that was directed towards you.
Greece, Turkey, Rome, Judaism, India, Islam, Brazil, and Latin America are just a few names of the countries and cultures that practice this belief. Me myself being of Turkish decent, I have a lot of jewelry that bares the evil eye, and we have amulets all around my house and also at work. I believe that the pendant does keep away people bad vibes, or energy, also I think it just very beautiful pendant. A lot of celebrities today are wearing the evil eye. It becoming famous everywhere.
